Old Business:

Handicap outing report:

This is the last meeting to collect sponsors; we are close but not yet finished with covering costs.  Please remember the date was changed to June 7th.  Please remember to meet at the Fireplace at 7:00 AM.  Be at the lake at 9:00 AM to help setup for the outing.  Please remember to bring pliers and a rag, we need help at the waters edge.

By-Laws have been finalized and printed; copies are available at the meeting and on the website.  This year’s changes include the 6lb pool and Classic format.  Kris recapped the kids outing at Wooddale that went very smoothly.  He thanked Rich G, Terry, Andy, and Brian for their assistance.  Bob Colon took a leave of absence and it left an opening for Wayne Wilken, he was unanimously voted in as our newest member.  Steve Rusert also took a leave of absence; he spot was not filled so the club will be at 35 members this year.  Please note that since Steve qualified for this year’s state team tourney, but has not paid membership dues, he will be eligible to fish as long as he covers the $85 entry fee.  The 2009 Board will be asked to compile a written policy for insertion in the tournament rues after being presented to and approved by the membership over the winter.  Nick spoke about the USO tournament he is organizing for Candlewood Lake at the Danbury Town Park on Monday – Columbus Day, October 13, 2008– 7 to 3 PM

New Business:

The annual raffle tickets will be distributed tonight, remember the top three members selling the most tickets will receive discounts off of their dues.  Everybody is required to sell 30 tickets minimum and 60 tickets are required to bring a guest for free to the awards dinner.  We need to come up with a building to hold our July club meeting.  The Open Buddy tournament is scheduled for July 26th at Greenwood Lake.  There will not be a kids outing this year as no one has stepped up to organize it.

Tournament Committee:

Payouts and recaps of Candlewood were given.  The lake Zoar tourney is time has been changed to 7:00 to 3:00.  We will be leaving Montvale at 4:30.  The draw was held for Mahopac.  Please bring $20 for the launch next meeting
