08 Fishing Outing
for the Disabled

Dear Sponsor,

On behalf of the Bergen Bassmasters and the Bergen County Department of Parks, we are requesting your support for our annual fishing outing for the disabled.  This event will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008.  (Rain or Shine).  This is our TWENTIETH year!

The location will again be held at Darlington Park in Mahwah, NJ.  The time of the outing is from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

For the past nineteen years, we have had participants from the ARC of Bergen and Passaic Counties, Spectrum for Living, the Handicapped Boy Scouts of America, Big Wheels of Westwood, HIP in Hackensack and other groups in the Bergen County area. Bergen Bassmasters has received the ESPN/Bassmasters “National Chapter of the Year for the Special Events Category”in 2005. In 2007, we received several awards from the State of NJ for the clubs contribution to our state’s disabled community. We accepted these honors on behalf of our club and all the sponsors that have participated over these past nineteen years. This tournament has become a blueprint for other clubs nationwide to start their own “Fishing Outing for the Disabled”.  We thank you in advance for all of your continued support.  This national recognition is proof positive that your donations have made a huge difference on a national scale!  As always, we will recognize you as a sponsor of this nationally acclaimed event.
